Offroad Club Monaco Supports the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge

Offroad Club Monaco Supports the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge

As part of the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge – the flagship event of the Yacht Club de Monaco dedicated to innovation and sustainable progress in marine mobility – Offroad Club Monaco, founded by Massimiliano Mordenti and his family, co-hosted an exclusive Afterwork Cocktail on July 3, 2025, in support of the eSport Qualifiers. This virtual competition, where international teams raced aboard simulated solar-powered boats, perfectly echoes the club’s core values: innovation, sustainability, and a competitive spirit.

This year’s edition featured an immersive race simulator, housed in the Yacht Club’s Hospitality Unit and developed with direct input from students. It allowed participants to design and race their own virtual vessels through speed, slalom, and manoeuvring trials – a hands-on and educational approach that aligns seamlessly with Offroad Club Monaco’s commitment to responsible innovation.

Rooted in a desire to merge adventure with environmental consciousness, Offroad Club Monaco promotes a vision of excellence grounded in a deep respect for nature. Their participation extended far beyond presence: the Club shared its dynamic energy, strong sense of community, and a curated selection of signature Offroad items with the young talents, teams, and partners committed to shaping the sustainable future of yachting.

Massimiliano Mordenti, official pilot of the Fédération Monégasque de Motonautique, and his wife Erminia Fezia Mordenti, long-standing members of both the Yacht Club de Monaco and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, advocate a collaborative approach that brings together sport, technology, environmental responsibility, intercultural dialogue, and philanthropy. For Offroad Club Monaco and its partners, the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge is more than just a competition – it is a global platform for visionary minds.

In line with this ambition, Offroad Club Monaco has established a permanent Scientific and Academic Advisory Board, composed of interdisciplinary university professors and industry experts from some of the most renowned Euro-Mediterranean institutions, such as La Sapienza University of Rome, Université Côte d’Azur, University of Naples “L’Orientale”, University of Genoa, Polytechnic University of Turin, and the University of Corsica, with diverse cultural and scientific backgrounds.

This expanding board, coordinated by Professor Andrea Carteny, PhD, Professor of International History at Sapienza University of Rome, Faculty of Letters and Philosophy, SARAS (History Anthropology Religions Art Spectacle) Department – CEMAS Research Center for Cooperation with Eurasia, Mediterranean and Sub-Saharan Africa, Alumni Fulbright Program – Board Member of H2CU (Italy-USA Honors Center of Italian Universities) – Director of Hungarian Studies Review – RSU “Rivista di Studi Ungheresi”, will guide future workshops and thematic initiatives exploring sustainability, responsible exploration, and the preservation of ancient and intangible heritage.
