Maison Schiaparelli unveils an exclusive pop-up in Monte-Carlo

The Maison Schiaparelli is taking up summer residence in Monaco at the iconic Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo to welcome its customers on holiday on the French Riviera.

The Schiaparelli ephemeral boutique will open its doors from June 15th to September 30th 2024 in the heart of the Belle Époque patio of the Hôtel de Paris, transporting into this prestigious setting the hushed and surreal world of its Place Vendôme salons as well as its Spring-Summer 2024 ready-to-wear and accessories collection with exclusive creations.

Facing the bay of Monte-Carlo, the Spring-Summer 2024 ready-to-wear collection will be presented in a 100m2 space inspired by the architecture of the Schiaparelli salons on Place Vendôme and the nautical theme of the season: Schiap at Sea.

Clients will also find a selection of exclusive iconic pieces, accessories, shoes, jewelry, and leather goods bearing the Schiaparelli signature.

Marine elements were part of Elsa Schiaparelli’s abundant imagination and inspired Daniel Roseberry, Artistic Director of Schiaparelli, who elevated them to the status of fetish objects or ornaments on silhouettes that were both daring and modern, with timeless chic.

Sailor stripes, fish scale embroidery, 3D lobster on a skirt, crab claw earrings and handmade gold ceramic shell necklaces revisit this heritage in unexpected and desirable ways.

Soft jackets, free-line prints, poplins and denim in sand and sky colors form the backdrop for a very Schiap daytime wardrobe. Signature bijoux buttons, measuring tape embroidery, anatomical ornaments and padlocks enhance each creation.

The Toes sneaker, in canvas and gold toe molding, provides the ultimate casual touch.

From the iconic Face Bag in sand or raffia, to the new Schiap in warm tones, there’s a world of small accessories with southern accents and playful codes.

For evenings under the stars, Schiaparelli is velvet, silk or jersey, with the sophistication befitting a red carpet: long dresses with vertiginous necklines, mini evening gowns, tuxedos and embroidered bolero jackets, high-waisted trousers and embroidered tops.

With her wild imagination and revolutionary approach to fashion, Elsa Schiaparelli instilled a unique creative spirit to 20th Century design. Turning ordinary objects into some of the most memorable creations, Schiaparelli expressed her creative talents through fashion, fragrance, and what we refer to today as “merchandising”, blurring the boundaries between creative brilliance and commercial success and developing an innovative business model that is still used by most major fashion houses today.

Elsa Schiaparelli’s iconic collaborations with artists like Dalí, Cocteau, Man Ray, Jean- Michel Franck, and Giacometti, among others, became legendary. Her legacy has consistently contributed to mainstream culture throughout the decades and continues to inspire people across creative industries and continents. A true artist herself, Schiaparelli is the creative force behind some of fashion’s most revolutionary shapes, techniques, and colors, redefining new standards of style and what beauty means.

In 2019, the house of Schiaparelli appointed American born designer Daniel Roseberry as Creative Director, based in the iconic Salons Schiaparelli at 21 place Vendome, Elsa’s home, and atelier.
